At A1A Canvas, we go beyond just crafting high-quality marine products—we also handle professional installation to ensure everything fits and functions perfectly. Whether you're purchasing a custom cover, Bimini, T-Top, or enclosure, our team can install all necessary hardware, electronics, and accessories to complete the job. From mounting snaps and support frames to installing keder track and routing wiring, we make sure every detail is securely and cleanly finished. Our goal is to deliver a hassle-free experience and a final product that’s ready to perform on the water.

1. Hardware Preparation

• Removing old hardware (if replacing or upgrading).

• Marking mounting points for new frames, tracks, or snaps.

• Drilling pilot holes where necessary for screws or bolts.

• Installing backing plates on the underside of mounting surfaces for extra strength.

• Sealing holes with marine-grade sealant to prevent water intrusion and maintain watertight integrity.

2. Structural Reinforcement (if needed)

• Adding support plates or brackets to distribute stress for T-Tops or Bimini mounts.

• Reinforcing consoles or decks if the fiberglass is thin or compromised.

• Ensuring solid access to mounting points from underneath (may require removing interior panels).

3. Measurement and Template Work

• Taking precise measurements to ensure custom fit.

• Creating templates for custom covers, especially in irregular or tight spaces.

• Aligning frames to avoid obstructions like rod holders, hatches, or electronics.

4. Electrical and Accessory Considerations

• Relocating or protecting wiring and electronics that may be near installation zones.

• Planning access to hatches or fuel caps to ensure covers won’t interfere.

• Routing wires or lighting (for T-Tops or Biminis with integrated lights or speakers).

5. Fabrication Prep

• Checking alignment of framework for symmetry and function.

• Mock-fitting hardware and frames before final installation.

• Adjusting angles or frame heights for optimal coverage and aesthetics.

Proper prep ensures the final product—whether a boat cover, T-Top, or Bimini—is functional, secure, and built to withstand the elements. Skipping these steps can lead to poor fit, premature wear, or water intrusion issues.

ALL products and services do not include Removal, Installation (unless stated otherwise on the estimate), and any unforeseen hardware or systems replacements due to wear and tear, or due to being unserviceable due to age and weathering. Removal and subsequent installation is extra. Required hardware beyond the actual product, such as nuts, bolts, screws etc... are supplied at an additional cost to the customer. Backerboards, hinges, mounting pipes, etc... are also at an additional charge if they are needed.
